  • 14 ounces Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup Semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

  • 2 tablespoons Chocolate shavings Optional

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowls
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Whisk until smooth and creamy. If using a stand mixer, beat on low speed until combined, then increase to medium speed and beat until smooth and thickened (approximately 2-3 minutes).
  5. Pour chocolate filling into the cooled crust.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the filling to set.
  7. Before serving, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings (optional).

Notes

For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semisweet. You can also add a pinch of espresso powder to the filling for an extra layer of flavor.
