Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- If using uncooked sausage, brown it in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain off any excess grease.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage (or uncooked if pre-cooked), softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Add the Bisquick baking mix and milk. Gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls using a cookie scoop or your hands.
- Place the sausage balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).
- Let the sausage balls cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of your favorite hot sauce. These sausage balls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 10-12 minutes.
