Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 12 ounces Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 14 ounces Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter (1 stick)
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans) Optional
  • 1/4 cup Mini marshmallows Optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea salt Optional, for sprinkling on top

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • 8x8 inch baking pan
  • Spatula
  • Parchment Paper

Method

Instructions
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides for easy removal.
  2. Combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth (about 1-2 minutes total).
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and any optional ingredients (nuts, marshmallows).
  5. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm.
  7. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips. Storing the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week will prevent it from becoming too hard.
