Instructions
- Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides for easy removal.
- Combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth (about 1-2 minutes total).
- Stir in the vanilla extract and any optional ingredients (nuts, marshmallows).
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm.
- Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips. Storing the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week will prevent it from becoming too hard.
