- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, crumble the browned and drained sausage.
- Add Bisquick baking mix, milk, cheddar cheese (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the bowl.
- Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls.
- Place the sausage balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each ball.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of dried herbs like sage or thyme. These sausage balls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
