Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 14 ounce can Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Chopped peanuts Optional, for topping
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea salt Optional, for topping

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • 8x8 inch baking dish
  • Whisk
  • Parchment Paper

Method

Instructions
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and butter. Stir frequently until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly for 5-7 minutes, until slightly thickened and glossy.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. If desired, sprinkle with chopped peanuts and sea salt.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until completely firm.
  8. Lift the fudge out of the dish using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
