  • 16 ounces Chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Heavy cream cold
  • 1 cup Chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Gummy worms or more, for decorating
  • Several Plastic spiders for decorating
  • Optional Chocolate shavings for decorating

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Crush chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the butter-cream cheese mixture and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cold heavy cream, chocolate pudding mix, and milk until smooth and slightly thickened.
  5. Gently fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture until just combined.
  6. Layer half of the crushed cookies in the bottom of your baking dish. Top with the cream cheese mixture, and then the remaining crushed cookies.
  7. Decorate with gummy worms, plastic spiders, and chocolate shavings (optional). Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate sandwich cookies. You can also add other Halloween candies to the decoration for an extra spooky touch. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
