- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes, or until the liquid is mostly absorbed.
- Remove from heat and stir in the rinsed and drained black beans and drained corn.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a large serving bowl.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions, and diced avocado.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips. Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, salsa, and jalapeƱos.
Notes
For a spicier dip, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or some chopped jalapeƱos. You can also use different types of cheese or beans to customize the flavor.
