  • 1 cup (2 sticks) Unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup Sugar cookie crumbs (from about 6-8 sugar cookies, store-bought or homemade)

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • 8x8 inch baking dish

Method

Instructions
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt. Stir frequently until the butter is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, stirring until smooth after each addition. The mixture will be thick.
  5. Stir in the sugar cookie crumbs and sprinkles (if using) until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  8. Once firm, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of regular butter. You can also experiment with different types of sprinkles or add chopped nuts for extra texture.
