  • 0.5 cup Red Onion Finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup Orange Juice
  • 0.25 cup Cilantro Chopped
  • 2 Jalapeños Seeded and minced (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 0.25 cup Honey or Maple Syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the cranberries, red onion, orange juice, cilantro, jalapeños, honey (or maple syrup), lime juice, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Gently stir to ensure all ingredients are well mixed.
  3. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more jalapeño for extra heat, or more honey for extra sweetness.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. For best flavor, allow the salsa to sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or even overnight.
  6. Serve chilled with tortilla chips, pork tenderloin, grilled chicken, or your favorite protein.

Notes

This salsa is best served fresh. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Consider adding other ingredients like chopped pecans or a diced apple for added texture and flavor.
