Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package (16 ounces) Oreo Cookies finely crushed
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) Unsalted Butter softened
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups White Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 24 pieces Candy Corn
  • 24 pieces Red M&M's Candies
  • 24 pieces Orange M&M's Candies optional

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method

Instructions
  1. Crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreos, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms. Use your hands if needed.
  3. Roll the dough into small oval shapes for the turkey bodies. Pinch off small pieces for the heads and attach them to one end of the ovals.
  4. Place the turkey cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  5. Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl according to package directions. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled cookies to resemble feathers.
  7. While the chocolate is still wet, add mini chocolate chips for the eyes, candy corn for the wattles, and red and orange M&Ms for the legs.
  8. Allow the cookies to sit for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set before serving.

Notes

For easier handling, chill the dough for 15-20 minutes before shaping the turkeys. You can also use other candies for decoration, such as sprinkles or small pretzel sticks.
